Unfortunately this post isn't animated with CSS as originally planned. In investigating CSS animations, I found that these type of non-repeating animations aren't exactly what they were built for. This is probably a good thing because this kind of animation should be Javascript since it has nothing to do with styles.

Even though the CSS3 didn't actually make it to the final version, I did learn how to animate with CSS3 in the process. (The Safari Reference Library was very helpful.) I also learned how to make sexier horizontal rules to add a little flare (Jay-Z fans might recognize the Roc symbol).
