Diamonds from Sierra Leone (Remix), Kanye West ft. Jay-Z
Unfortunately this post was not animated with CSS3 as originally planned. In investigating CSS animations, I found out that these type of non-repeating animations aren’t really possible. This is probably a good thing because this kind of animation should be Javascript since it has nothing to do with styles.
Even though the CSS3 didn’t actually make it to the final version, I did learn how to animate with CSS3 in the process. (The Safari Reference Library was very helpful.) I also learned how to make sexier horizontal rules to add a little flare (Jay-Z fans might recognize the Roc symbol).
I guess you could say this is the second in the series of hip-hop lyric posts. It bothers me a little that they feel so similar, but this lyric was calling for this treatment, and who I am to deny it the black, white and red look? You can expect more, so if you enjoyed it… subscribe!

Wow!
All with Javascript you say?
Wow!
What is it about Kanye’s lyrics that come out so great in writing? He’s a decent writer but honestly, nowhere near the best… yet somehow, I’m never disappointed to see his lyrics in “print”.
Believe me the Javascript makes it really easy… it’s just a bunch of setTimeouts.
Don’t worry though, it’s Kanye’s song but these lyrics are from Jay-Z’s part.
