Notice: My goals have changed since this post was first written. I’m still eager to improve my writing and engage in dialogue with other designers, but I’m no longer concerned with the length of my posts. I’ve left this post here for posterity’s sake.
This is where I will discuss my thoughts as they relate to design. There’s no need to create another design blog of useful lists or in-depth tutorials—that market is already saturated. I want a place where I can solidify my ideas through writing and hopefully provoke conversation, as I don’t want my ideas to exist in their own vacuum.
I aim to keep posts succinct—not exceeding 300 or so words. Online readers read differently; scanning is commonplace and longer articles are TL;DR. Of course I won’t simplify to the point of leaving out information, but rather work to distill my writing.
It will be an interesting exercise.
